Such restrictions inhibit American companies from exporting to these entities without obtaining a special license.
During the visit, Schumer aims to address the need for reciprocity from China concerning U.S. business in trade, as well as maintaining American leadership in advanced technologies for national security. In addition to these concerns, Schumer also hopes to discuss human rights, fentanyl production, China’s role in the international community, and explore areas for potential cooperation.
