The Return of Honor: Chinese Smartphone Maker Set to Re-enter Indian Market

After nearly three years since relying on Noida-based PSAV Global for smartphone distribution in India, Honor has officially announced its return to the Indian market. The Chinese smartphone maker is expected to launch new models in the country soon, including the highly anticipated Honor 90, which was previously unveiled in the Chinese market earlier this year. The company has been teasing its comeback through its Honor Tech India accounts on X (formerly known as Twitter) and Instagram.

An Exciting Development in the Indian Smartphone Industry

The news of Honor’s return to India has caused a stir among smartphone enthusiasts. This move is significant because it not only marks the re-entry of a popular brand into the Indian market but also introduces new models that have already generated buzz in the Chinese market. With Honor’s history of delivering high-quality smartphones at competitive prices, consumers are eagerly waiting to see what the company has in store for them this time around.

Adding fuel to the excitement, Madhav Sheth, the former Vice President for Business and Corporate Strategy at Realme, took to X to tease the launch of new Honor-branded smartphones in India. Sheth, who recently confirmed his association with the Chinese phone maker, did not disclose which handset would be the first to arrive in the country. However, rumors suggest that the Honor 90 will make its debut in India in September.

The Honor 90, which was launched earlier this year in China alongside the Honor 90 Pro, boasts impressive specifications. Under the hood, it features a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC paired with up to 16GB of RAM, ensuring powerful performance. The phone sports a stunning 6.7-inch full-HD+ curved OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits.

When it comes to photography, the Honor 90 excels with its triple rear camera setup, including a remarkable 200-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Selfies and video chats are taken care of by a 50-megapixel front-facing camera. Additionally, the phone offers up to 512GB of inbuilt storage and supports various connectivity options such as 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. It runs on the latest Android 13-based MagicOS 7.1 and is powered by a robust 5,000mAh battery with fast charging capabilities of up to 66W.

With Honor’s imminent return to the Indian market, smartphone aficionados can look forward to experiencing cutting-edge technology, innovative features, and excellent value for money. As the competition in the Indian smartphone industry continues to intensify, the re-entry of Honor is undoubtedly a game-changer. Whether it’s the highly anticipated Honor 90 or other exciting models, the Indian audience eagerly awaits the dawn of a new era in smartphone excellence brought forth by Honor.
